Dr. Uzodinma Adirieje is a civil society leader, consultant, evaluator, researcher, advocate, trainer, writer and activist, known for his works on environment, health, climate change, biodiversity, as well as in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), monitoring and evaluation (M&E), HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria, Mpox, COVID, public-private partnerships, maternal and new-born child health, blindness prevention, conferences, aging, human rights, community development, indigenous peoples, marginalized, vulnerable populations, one health, nutrition, health sector reforms and the nonprofit sector. He is a pioneer Fellow and former National President of the Nigeria Association of Evaluators (NAE) and was a consultant who drafted Nigeria's M&E Policy. A citizen of Nigeria, Dr. Adirieje is a World Bank-trained health economist, the CEO and Permanent Rep. of Afrihealth Optonet Association (AHOA) to the United Nations; President, African Network of Civil Society Organizations (ANCSO); Chair, Global Consortium of Civil Society and Non-State Actors on Climate Change and Conference of Parties (GCSCCC); Chair, CSOs Strategy Group on SDGs in Nigeria, 2020-2024, and National Coordinator, Civil Society Partnership for SDGs in Nigeria (CSP-SDGs Nigeria); and President, Society for Conservation and Sustainability of Energy and Environment in Nigeria (SOCSEEN). AHOA is a global CSO network and think-tank that focuses on health and sustainable development issues. AHOA has teams/chapters in the FCT and 36 States of Nigeria. AHOA has 3,000 organizations from 120 countries as its members, and a Google Group of over 44,000 members globally.
